Earnest Thompson Sr.

Age 85, of Joliet, passed away on December 22, 2020, at Rock Run Place Memory Care in Joliet with his family by his side.
 Earnest is survived by his devoted and loving wife Glenda Thompson of Joliet, IL and four children, Bernard (Shanita) Thompson of Joliet, IL, Earnest (Barbara) Thompson Jr. of Okolona, MS, James (Delnessa) McLeod of Oxford, MS, and Erogers Hykes of Brooklyn NY; Brother, Walker Devauld (Gladys) of Aberdeen, IL., eleven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.  Earnest Thompson Sr was born in Okolona, Mississippi on November 24, 1935. 

He is preceded in death by one daughter, Vicki Jean Morris (Ezra) of Bolingbrook, IL; his parents, Prentis Thompson of Okolona, MS and Bettie Thompson of Okolona, MS; and his brother, Earvin Thompson (Claudia) of Oak Park, IL.

Per Earnest’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.

Due to the current circumstances, there will not be any services for Earnest at this time. A memorial for Earnest will be held at a later date, not yet determined.
