Rosemarie J Nickl
Rosemarie Nickl 83, a 58-year resident of Crest Hill, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 8, 2021; surrounded by her loving family at Amita Health St. Joseph Medical Center. Rose’s life had many accomplishments. Her greatest was the special relationship she had with her special needs son Daniel. They became a team and developed a united bond that you had to see to believe.
Rose spent part of her life being a housewife and working part-time jobs to help support her family. Her next chapter involved 20 years at St. Joseph hospital. After retiring she worked at Jewel for many years.
Rose had many individual passions. She was an avid baker and loved dining out. Some of her favorite dishes were any type of chicken, strawberries, and lemon cake. Her family loved everything she baked with some of their favorites being her Potica, Pumpkin Rolls, and Monkey Bread.
She loved watching the Godfather Trilogy and Columbo reruns. Musically she loved the classics. Some of her favorites were Liberace, Mario Lanza, and Lawrence Welk.
Her personal pride and joy was her house. She absolutely loved her house. Her favorite Christmas and Birthday gifts were any item for her house. If she had won the lottery, she would not have moved.
Rosemarie is survived by four children, Steve Nickl of Shorewood, Nicole (Dale) George of Joliet, IL, Daniel Nickl of Crest Hill, IL, and John (April) Nickl of Plainfield, IL; two grandchildren, Joseph Allen Reed and Miranda Elizabeth George; and two sisters, Alvera Busch and Margaret Cambruzzi.
